Yonkers also has plenty of live theater, from the Actors Conservatory Theater to Arts Westchester; if music is more to your liking, The Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra offers live free symphonic concerts.

Museums and Culture

Miroza at Ridge Hill is in close proximity to many notable cultural institutions, including museums, art galleries, and educational centers. The Hudson River Museum is a multifaceted museum and planetarium and is enjoyable for kids and adults alike. A historic 43-acre public park, the Untermeyer Gardens Conservancy features vistas of the Hudson River and Palisades, as well as sculpture and architectural elements reminiscent of different eras. The Hudson Valley Science Barge is a floating environmental education center which grows an abundance of fresh produce including tomatoes, melons, and lettuce. And if you are looking to visit one of the only intact pre-Revolutionary War farmhouses in the New York Metropolitan area, check out Sherwood House Museum - it's also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
